Get Real Estate Links Ethically

Filed under: How to Link — admin @ 12:54 pm

Google and Real Estate Links

Don’t make the mistake of misunderstanding the nature of a true link. The way Google sees it is a true link is an editorial vote from another website. Google has a very complexed algorithm that detects authentic links. Because so many webmasters have been cheating by buying and selling links Google has taken action on misleading and untruthful links designed to inflate search engine rankings. The best advice that I can give you is to get links naturally. Whatever your linking strategy is, the core must be honest, any dishonest attempts to obtain links will almost certainly be detected and discounted by Google. Google controls over 200 million searches a day and has websites that rank in there index naturally. Being in the top ten fold is a primary goal of all webmasters. Much of this ranking is determined by the number of quality and authoritative incoming links to your website. The fact that many fail to realize is not all links are created equal!

A Themed Approach to Get Real Estate Links

In the selling and listing of homes, or any other theme for that matter, having links themed from your incoming link source will score a lot higher on the “themed relevance” scale. Here a few related and important link categories for professionals to concentrate on:

  • Home Lawyers Legal
  • Home Insurance
  • Inspection Service
  • Agents & Brokers
  • Agents Specialist
  • Mover & Relocation
  • Pest Control
  • Consultant
  • Property Management
  • Commercial
  • Home & Garden
  • For Sale By Owner
  • Finance & Mortgage
  • Apartments & Rentals
  • Property Listing
  • Luxury Home
  • Land & Rural
  • Foreclosure
  • Construction and Builders Home
  • Warranty Agents & Brokers
  • Apartment & Rental
  • Office Space
  • Appraisal
  • International
  • Home Decoration
  • Golf Property
  • New Home
  • Resorts
  • General Directories

Themed, 1 way links that come from a favored source will deliver a power packed punch into your natural search engine rankings time and time again. It is also worth mentioning the value of learning what synonyms are associated with your theme primary keyword. In this case we can look at the keyword “Real Estate”. What are synonyms that apply? Equally important to that is the terms Google recognizes as synonyms. To ask Google this question you can use the tilde (~) key in front of your query.

Synonym Keyword Research Example

Real Estate without the tilde symbol

Real Estate with the tilde symbol

Other Synonyms include: real estate, for sale, homes for sale, realtors, land for sale, realestate, real estates, real estate property, apartments home, real estate homes for sale

What is interesting about the results is the fact that their is connection in both result pages are similar with other related keywords and phrases, when looking at the “bolded” terms. This tells us that Google has the ability to understand concepts. Another good example of this is when you enter the phrase “There Aint No Such Thing As A Free Lunch” . You do not see pictures of food, sandwiches or lunchables, instead google finds pages that describe what the phrase means. This is by design.

What Does it Mean to Incoming Links?

For starters we can start to think in terms of “longtails” and more descriptive phrases. Let’s says you are a home inspector that inspects homes in the Toronto (Canada) area. A good choice of anchor text is “Home Inspection Toronto” or “Toronto Home Inspection“. If you want to get more targeted visitors to your website the way to do it is get real estate links with a descriptive or “call to action” anchor text. The result will be a higher conversion rate from the visitors that click these links to get to your website.

Researching your Market

Before Planning a Link Campaign for Real Estate Links

Market research is an important part of link building. I believe that the further you can zoom out on your market the easier it is to connect the dots. This means drilling down your market so that you are literally standing at the peak of the cliff looking down at your entire vertical market. In the nest article I will show you how to research and develop a website blueprint for success.
